Umberto Finazzi

Born in Bergamo, he graduated in piano with top marks at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan. He perfected the solo repertoire with Maestro Kostantin Bogino and studied conducting with Maestro Julius Kalmar. From 1978 to 2008, he performed intensively as a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles, in lieder recitals and as a conductor and choirmaster. From a very young age, he worked in the theatre as a concert pianist, collaborating with conductors such as Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Donato Renzetti, Carlo Rizzi, etc.

Since 1997, he has been teaching Operatic Repertoire at the International Academy for Opera Singers at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, collaborating with artists such as Magda Olivero, Renata Scotto, Mirella Freni, Renato Bruson, Luis Alva, Luciana Serra, Luciana D'intino, etc.

Since 2013, he has been teaching at the Masterclass for Maestri Collaboratori at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala. In 2004 he was the creator, together with Maestro Janos Meszaros, of the Opera Studio "Silvio Varviso " of Ticino Musica, of which he has been Music Director since its foundation. He has collaborated since 2003 as vocal coach with the Opera Studio "Atelier du Rhin" of the Strasbourg Theatre and regularly holds master classes for European and American theatres, universities and conservatories.

Daniele Piscopo

Daniele Piscopo is a versatile artist distinguished in the fields of opera, visual arts, and theatrical direction. Born in 1986, he graduated from the Artistic Lyceum A. Frattini in Varese and continued his studies at the University of Milan, earning a degree in Art History. He also obtained a second degree in Decoration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and a Master's in opera direction from the Verona Opera Academy.As a solo baritone, he has performed in major Italian and international opera theaters, including Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Fondazione Arena di Verona, and Palau de les Arts in Valencia. Notable directorial works include "Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda" for Voce all'Opera, and "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" and "La Cenerentola" by G. Rossini for the Ticino Musica Festival. In 2021, he inaugurated the Teatro Rendano in Cosenza with "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by G. Rossini. In 2022, at the Teatro Perez Galdos in Las Palmas, he designed the set for "Manon Lescaut" by Giacomo Puccini, directed "Un ballo in maschera" by Giuseppe Verdi, and directed "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" by J. Offenbach. He made his debut at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste with "Al Mulino" by Ottorino Respighi. Recently, in February 2023, he opened the season at the Teatro Perez Galdos in Las Palmas with "Fedora" by U. Giordano, followed by directing "Aida" by Giuseppe Verdi and the set designs for "La Gioconda," all in Las Palmas. He directed "Aida" in Cordoba and closed the Las Palmas season with the direction of "Rigoletto." In the summer of 2023, he directed "Il matrimonio Segreto" in Lugano and directed and designed the set for "Il Birraio di Preston" by Luigi Ricci in Pesaro. At the Teatro de la Coruña, he directed "Aida" and a new production of "Romeo e Juliette" by Gounod. In 2024, he will direct "Tosca" and "Il Matrimonio Segreto" at the Teatro Perez Galdos in Las Palmas.
