Where we are

The masterclasses take place at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, Via Soldino 9, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland. The venue can be reached in one of these ways:

By train

Stop in Lugano (railway timetable), and exit at the rear (platform four). Continue along Via Besso, take Via Moncucco on the left and after 200 metres turn right into Via Soldino. At the top of the street is the gate of the Centro San Carlo and the main entrance to the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.

By car

Take the motorway exit "Lugano nord" and follow the sign "Centro Città" or "Conservatorio SI". Continue along via Besso and before the small square of the San Nicolao church turn right into via Cortivallo. After 100 metres, turn left into via Soldino. The main entrance gate of the "Centro San Carlo" is on the right after approx. 200 metres.

By plane

Flight to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), then by train to Lugano Railway Station (approx. 1:30 journey). Alternatively, flight to Zurich Airport (ZRH), then train to Lugano (approx. 2:00 hrs. travel time).

Dates of the Festival

Opening concert:
18 July in Lugano.

Festival final participants concert and aperitif:
31 July at 11:30 am. Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, Lugano.

Dates of the courses

1st official opening ceremony of the masterclasses and start of lessons (1st week)
19 July, 9.30 am at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, Lugano.

2nd official opening ceremony of the masterclasses and start of lessons (2nd week)
25 July, 9.30 am at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, Lugano.

Last day of lessons
31 July (morning).

All masteclasses will take place at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, via Soldino 9, Lugano (except the organ masterclasses – see details).

If you plan to arrive on a different date than the ones stated above, please inform the Festival office.

If you have booked a place at the Students’ House, you are kindly asked to come to the Secretary Office of Ticino Musica in Lugano, Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, via Soldino 9 (see map) on 18 July (24 July for courses in the second week) not later than 6.30 p.m, in order to receive your room key and meal tickets.

All fees (application, participation, and lodging fees) must be paid before your arrival with a credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD) through the link you can find on the confirmation email, or via bank transfer. Upon arrival, you will receive your student card and all information about the masterclasses.
