The international Opera studio "Silvio Varviso", the only complete lyric laboratory born and developed entirely in Ticino, celebrated its 15th birthday with 7 performances of "La Cenerentola" by Gioachino Rossini (Riva San Vitale, Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, Bellinzona, Breno, Sorengo, Hall of the LAC, Locarno). The works, coordinated by Umberto Finazzi (artistic direction) and Daniele Piscopo (direction, sets and costumes), involved 36 singers and musicians, selected from an international shortlist of about 100 candidates. The response from the public was sincere, warm and enthusiastic with various sold-out performances.
