On Friday 7 June at 6.30 pm in Sala 4 of the LAC in Lugano and on Saturday 8 June at 4.00 pm in the Rivabella Residence in Magliaso, musicologists Fabio Sartorelli (June 7) and Giorgio Appolonia (June 8) will offer the public an introduction of the opera “Rita” by Gaetano Donizetti in conferences characterized by the engaging and compelling style, enhanced by projections, anecdotes and listening guides. Entrance is free in both cases.
The audience will thus find an ideal opportunity to best prepare for listening to the opera, which is being rehearsed during the month of July by Ticino Musica's “Silvio Varviso” International Opera Studio team, composed of Umberto Finazzi (musical direction), Daniele Piscopo (direction, sets and costumes), Massimiliano Zampetti (actor) and the selected young singers, instrumentalists and orchestra conductors chosen in the auditions held at the beginning of the year. The opera will make its debut at the opening ceremony of the Ticino Musica Festival on July 18 at 9 pm and will be replicated during the course of the festival at various locations in the region.
