With the masterclasses, students have the opportunity to interact on a daily basis with artists with a well-established international reputation. The simultaneous offer of courses for almost every orchestral instrument provides also the opportunity to for different chamber music ensembles. Also, the numerous concerts that take place during the two weeks of the masterclasses help preparing the young musicians for their future professional lives and enrich the cultural panorama of Ticino.

“Silvio Varviso” Opera Studio

International Young Composers Academy

As the International Young Composers Academy keeps exploring the engaging and diverse possibilities of music making, focus of the 2018 edition will be composing for vocal ensemble. Selected participants will be asked to write vocal works for up to six vocal soloists to be premiered in Ticino during the Festival Ticino Musica.
