Peter Steiner, an internationally renowned Austrian trombonist and teacher at the Ticino Musica Academy, has established himself as one of the most interesting soloists of his generation, applauded for his technical brilliance and interpretive depth. At his side, Constanze Hochwartner, organist and pianist, accompanies with elegance and sensitivity, enriching each musical page with skillfully dosed colors and dynamics.
The program ranges from celebrated Baroque pages by Händel, Bach and Albinoni to intense reinterpretations by Dvořák, Jenkins and Liszt. Each piece, in transcription for this unusual ensemble, takes on a new light, which will surprise with its intensity and timbral beauty.
The Church of San Nicolao, with its generous acoustics and 1984 Mascioni organ, proves to be an ideal setting for an evening of great musical charm.
