Meeting point: Spazio Garavello 7 (Autosilo), Morcote
Protagonist of the event is the brilliant Pucela Brass, Ensemble in residence at Ticino Musica, formed by five young Spanish musicians united by a fresh and refined vision of the brass repertoire. Rubén Rodríguez Duque and Luis Rodríguez Revenga, versatile trumpeters active in orchestral and chamber music, are joined by Rafael Rivera Salmerón's horn, Diego Cordero's trombone and Jesús Ignacio Lorenzo's tuba, completing a lineup that combines virtuosity, sensitivity and strong acoustic identity.
The program unfolds between transcriptions and original pieces inspired by Iberian folklore: from the gracefulness of De Falla's 7 Folk Songs to the folk dances of Giménez and Bretón, passing through celebrated tributes to Albéniz, in a crescendo that culminates in a grand finale.
Morcote, with its lakeside architecture and stone alleyways, is an ideal setting for this musical itinerary, suspended between light and half-light, tradition and vitality.
