Andrea Jermini has already won over audiences and critics alike with his sensitivity and virtuosity, excelling in both solo and chamber music repertoire. His prestigious training has taken him from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana to the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Ghent, and he is currently studying at the Haute École de Musique de Genève. A versatile interpreter, Jermini conveys deep emotions through his instrument.
Joining him is the Rilke Quartet, an ensemble founded in 2022 and already recognized as one of the most promising emerging chamber music groups in Europe. With a solid formation under the guidance of renowned quartet masters, the ensemble has received prestigious awards, including the title of "Ensemble of the Year 2023" from Le Dimore del Quartetto and its selection as "Ensemble in Residence" for the Ticino Musica Festival 2025.
The evening's program opens with Langsamer Satz WoO 6 for string quartet by Anton Webern, an early work of intense lyricism and expressive sonorities, followed by the Piano Quintet by Antonín Dvořák, a masterpiece of chamber music that blends Bohemian folk-inspired melodies with rich and engaging musical writing. This promises to be a musical journey filled with expressive depth and virtuosic energy, brought to life by exceptional performers who will infuse every note with passion and intensity.
This captivating concert is part of the pre-Festival events, guiding audiences toward the Ticino Musica Festival, which will take place from July 18 to 31 2025.
