Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Festival, we are launching the inaugural Ticino Musica Festival Orchestra, to be conducted by alumnus Alexander Shelley.
Reflecting the spirit of Ticino Musica, the project revolves around collaboration and mutual exchange between leading international artists and talented early career musicians, offering an opportunity for both professional development and performance at the highest level. In the setting of some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe, the Festival Orchestra will prepare two programmes of classical and contemporary masterpieces for performance across two weeks of the Festival.
On request, orchestra members may take part in the Masterclasses with the following conditions: they may participate in half of the lessons (schedule to be organized individually with the docent) with a tuition cost of 390 fr, including registration and participation fees.

The project covers the period from July 18 to 30 (with arrival on July 17 and departure on July 31). The rehearsals will start on July 18 and will take place in Lugano (Switzerland). The two concerts, with two contrasting programmes and in two different locations in Ticino (Switzerland), are planned for July 23 and July 30.
Each participant will receive a scholarship of CHF 1000.- for travel and accommodation costs. No participation fee is requested.
The organization can offer suitable accommodation at a reasonable price.
