Swiss composers introduce themselves

Five renowned Swiss composers who present their own work and composing technique in a seminar. Thanks to these seminars, the international participants of the IYCA, of the Ticino Music Festival and the audience have the opportunity to take a look at the multiple scene of new music in Switzerland. The seminars are held as part of the Ticino Music Festival, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The IYCA director, Oscar Bianchi, has chosen speakers from different backgrounds: composers with Swiss roots, active mainly abroad, and foreign composers active mainly in Switzerland. Not only do we find new music in its most diverse facets, but also microtonality, improvisation, electronics, and sound installations are covered.
