Vincent Lepape, trombone

He is Principal Trombone of Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino since 1994. In addition to his orchestral career, he is Professor at Trombone Master of the “Istituto Musicale Pareggiato della Val d’Aosta”. Born in Rouen, France, he was schooled in Paris, and he got his Trombone Diploma at the prestigious “Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris”.

As an orchestral and chamber music player and soloist he appeared  with some of the finest orchestras in Europe: Orchestre National de France, Orchestre de Paris, Opera de Lyon, Opera National de Paris, Cluj Napoca Symphony Orchestra (Romania), Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Lyon, Palau des les Arts Reina Sofia (Valencia, Spain), Orchestra del Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Orchestre de Montecarlo.

He has been invited to take part as a member of the committee in many Soloist Competitions and Music Institutions, Geneva and Lausanne HEM, Lyon Conservatory and Concours International de trombone d’Alsace among the others.

In 2002 he did the Italian premiere of E. Bloch’s “Symphony for trombone and orchestra”, accompanied by the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino conducted by Alexandr Anissimov.
