He studied with Gaspar Cassadó, André Navarra and Pablo Casals, and received valuable musical stimuli from his collaborations with Rudolf Serkin and Yehudi Menuhin. He has been invited to play at different festivals (Berliner Festwochen, Enescu Festival Bukarest, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Kuhmo Festival Finnland, Xockenhaus Austria). He has recorded over 35 CDs, and received the “Grand Prix des Discoboles de l’Europe” for the CD of the Cello Concerto by O. Schoeck. As cellist and conductor he has travelled all over the world. For the forthcoming season he has tours in Central and South America and Greece. He is conductor of the chamber orchestra “Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein” and professor for Cello and Chamber Music at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf.
