Janos Meszaros studied music at the Conservatory and Music Academy in Prague, where he received diplomas in bassoon, singing and composition, and later in conducting with Karel Ancerl, Fritz Rieger und Joseph Keilberth. He has had an international solo and chamber music career lasting for more than 30 years. From 1960 to 1985, he collaborated with the most important soloists and conductors. Currently, his main activity is conducting, and a large part of his time is dedicated to the professional training of young musicians. He has made several recordings for radio, Suprafon, Decca and Musikszene Schweiz.
