Gabor Meszaros is professor at the Music High School "Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana" in Lugano. His good reputation as exceptional interpreter of his instrument is confirmed by concerts and recitals in several important music centres such as Zurich, Bern, Berlin, Cologne, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, etc. and TV and radio recordings. He has held masterclasses in Italy, Hungary, Switzerland and Spain. He is often invited as jury member of national and international music competitions.
In the year 2002 his CD Music for Bassoon and Piano "France" was released by the Label "La Bottega Discantica" in Milano and has received positive comments from the critics.
During is career, he won different national and international prices. He is founder and member of various ensembles, among which The Swiss Nonet. Thanks to his wide experience in this field, he is very appreciated as chamber musician. He has successfully played in concerts with musicians such as Elisaveta Blumina, Alessandro Carbonare, Mario Ancillotti, Maurice Bourgue, Ingo Goritzki, François Benda, Hans Elhorst and the Orpheus Quartet.
He was principal bassoon at symphonic orchestras in Switzerland, Spain and Germany, where he collaborated also as soloist with conductors such as Arpad Joo, Víctor Pablo Pérez, Anthony Wit, Franz-Paul Decker, Philippe Bender, Johannes Goritzki and Odón Alonso.
He was invited to play as principal at the "Millennium Gala Concert of the Nations", which took place at the Lincoln Center in New York under the high patronage of the ONU.
