This statement of Armin Bachmann embodies a great part of his passion. His studies, which he completed in Switzerland and Germany, are years of travel that last till this day. Trombonist in several european orchestras, member of many chamber music ensembles like the Swiss Brass Consort, Ensemble Kontraste Nürnberg, Duo Pazzo München etc, conductor of brass- ,wind- and youthbands, soloist with symphony orchestras, brass- and windbands, organ or traditional folk music formations, adjudicators at international contests, professor at the university for music „Franz Liszt“ in Weimar and at masterclasses in Tokio, Paris, Manchester, Vienna, Munich, Helsinki, etc., head of the school of music Region Burgdorf, teacher at different workshops, speaker and host at concerts.
In addition he took part of over 40 recordings of cds, live performances on radio and tv and world premieres of numerous contemporary pieces. He is a passionate alphorn player.
His heart and soul is the Slokar Trombone Quartet. His global tour, together with his former teacher Branimir Slokar, takes more than 25 years now.
